I know I have told a lot of people that I
would be posting pictures from the various trips I have
taken recently on our website. Well, I finally did it after
having the site for nearly nine months now.
There are pictures of my trip to
Belgium during Spring
Break of last year. The journal and photos from the trip
Knifer and I took to Korea
are finally posted. After we got back from Korea, Knifer and
I took a road trip
through the Southwest before driving up to Seattle. Quite
soon after I got to Seattle, I bought a
house, which I had been hoping
to do, but did not really expect to happen so quickly.
Finally, there are some pictures from a trip I took with
some friends to Mt.
Rainier and some other
miscellaneous pictures I have taken since I got to
Seattle.
These last few months have involved lots of changes for
Knifer and me. Graduating from school, moving to Seattle,
buying a house, and starting work full time. There are many
parts of the transition that have been incredibly exciting,
and there are many days that are tough. In the past, I have
not done the greatest job keeping in touch with friends.
This time, I hope to do a better job. That was one of my
intentions for this site; to keep old friends (and new ones)
informed about what is going on with me. Now that I have
gotten all of this stuff up, I will be keeping the site up
to date. I promise. Really I do. My plan, at least for now,
is to use this site like a journal (or a blog I guess),
rather than sending out tons of mass emails.
I had grand plans to build a discussion board for this
site, but at this point, I don't think that is going to
happen. After spending all day at work in front of a
computer, I have very little desire to come home and do more
of the same. Maybe someday I will get around to it, but I
don't think it will be any time soon.
I hope you enjoy the journals and pictures. Feel free to
email me at
damon@gilkersong.com if you have any questions or
comments. (I know this is not the email many of you have,
but I do not want to post the other email online because I
don't want to start getting tons of spam. Feel free to use
either one.)
